About 2 weeks back, Jason asked if I would like to join him for an NSeries Launch in KL Hilton. I was, of course more than excited to go because one thing for sure we have in common… we are both truly Symbian lovers.
The crowd of medias before the launch
So you must be wondering, what is it all about?
Behold, the official launch of the new Nokia N96 – the successor of my dear N95 8GB. The addition to the Nokia beast is none other than the solid 16GB internal storage with a plus point of mircoSD slot, something that N95 series lacks. The obvious difference would no doubt be its new outlook of a more curvy design on the edges despite still maintaining at the 2.8″ screen display. Interactively, it has improved significantly especially on the multimedia navigations while being equipped with 3.5G HSDPA, Wi-Fi and AGPS. The morphing lights on the keypads has very cool effects too.
Not only were we able to witness the brand new N96, Nokia also proudly gave us the honour to sneak peek both the upcoming brand new NSeries – N79 (Successor of N78) and N85 (Successor of N82) said to be released in October this year.
Nokia N79 with red Xpress-on smart cover
The Nokia N79 has great interactive multimedia functions for photos and music which combines with the high speed 3.5G capability and Wi-Fi to ease its navigation. One of its very own unique yet stylish feature is the Xpress-on smart covers, which comes with 5 different colors and is attached to the back of the phone. Once you clip on the smart covers, the theme will automatically change according to its colors.
The sleek dual-slider Nokia N85
Lastly, the Nokia N85 which comes with 8GB microSD card offers a wide range of great multimedia functions. The dual-slider design to begin with and the hugeass 2.6″ display which has improved from the previous N82. This series also comes with 3.5G HSDPA and Wi-Fi capability. On the camera, I reckon the video clarity has improved with the higher frame rates; clearer and sharper images can be expected with the dual LED flash. In short, I simply like the sleek design of the N85. Can’t wait for this to be out!
The models posing with the N96s, the other Jason squeezed this Jason beside the hot model for a photo. Spot the lucky popper! After the launch, we had scrumptious dinner while listening to the strums of live bands. There was also an ongoing N-Gage competition for all guests on the sideline. That pretty much wrapped up the night.
Btw, do check out Jason’s symbian blog!
Over and out, ciaos
