Matrimony, as it speaks

December 26, 2007

Two weekends ago, I had the chance to experience an Indian ritual wedding held in PJ. Navin asked a favour to help him shoot some photographs of his sister’s wedding ceremony. Frankly speaking, I have no idea what’s gonna take place at each instant of time. Nonetheless no regrets, I had a great time and I’d say I’m really glad to have made it there to witness the uniqueness of the matrimony.

As the ceremony rolled on, I now pronounce you Chuck and Larry! Rofl.

The thing I really liked about the wedding is the bright celebration and colorful costumes which really brings out the joyfulness and blissfulness of life. The priest was concentrating on the rituals as per traditions to bless the newly wedded couple.

Congratulations to Naven and Sharli. May you guys find eternal love in one another and be blessed always.

A group photo of us who made it to the wedding ceremony. After that, we feast to the delicious food and partied all night before going home.

Penang Jazz Fest

December 10, 2007

Last weekend, I went for the Penang Island Jazz Festival held in Bayview Beach Resort together with Jo, Tiki and Roze. Roze won four admission tickets from LiteFm and invited us to join them.

As we walked into the the enclosed area, loads of people were seen comfortably seated at the pitch right in front of the stage. We were a little late but it was all good. Grabbed our expensive snacks cum dinner, found a nice spot and we were all set for the show.

This is Paul Ponnudorai with his remarkable guitar skills. I am amazed by his ability to reshape any songs almost effortlessly. Although he claim to be more of a country musician, his husky voice had certainly oozed the jazzy feel. He plays at Harry’s Bar in Esplanade, Singapore.

The long awaited acapella group for the night was from Australia and they’re known as the Idea of North. As a quartet of musicians, their voices were their instruments. I’d say their performance was truly phenomenal and I enjoyed every bit of it.

Crowds went wild all through their amazing performance.

My first time at a Jazz Fest and it was definitely worthwhile.

Glory glory Spurs FC

December 7, 2007

Two weekends ago, I was at Tungku Jaafar College in Mantin to witness a soccer match between Spurs FC and a Junior Squad from the college. My buncha close friends whom I grew up with started off this soccer team back when we were in high school and called themselves Spurs FC. I went to support em all and did them a favour to shoot photos of the match.

I kinda over-saturated this whole series of photos but wth, look kinda nice lol
