Gary and Grace came down to PD during the Raya weekend. I was more than happy to have them around because PD has always been a quiet town and it would be great to have company especially uni friends. They came down after lunch hour and dropped by my house for a short while. We left for a tea break in the Kopitiam where we had some toasts, coffee and a long chat. Gary wanted ‘gonuts’ so we headed off to S2 for Big Apple doughnuts but unfortunately it was closed for Raya. The disappointment was ultimately lifted by the good shopping bargain, haha. Next time we go again, dude!

Both of them wanted to watch the sun set so I brought them to the beach near the Yacht Club. There’s this wooden bridge connecting a some sort lagoon by the beach to a mini island nearby. There’s practically nothing in the island but rocks and lightly dense forest but you’ll never know unless you really venture deep into it. Of course, we did not opt for that little adventure instead sat back by the rocks and enjoy the sunset.

Usually, we’ll be able to watch the bright orange sun sets far far away in the ocean. Today, we ran outta luck again because it was rather cloudy so it wasn’t really that clear of a sunset. A photo of the three of us just as we welcome the moon who takes over the night. Photo’s not really clear because once again, I didn’t bring the tripod.

It was dinner time and we’ve been talking bout having seafood since they came down here. So I brought them to this famous seafood restaurant known for it’s grilled seafood selection. This restaurant has been around for quite a few decades and it is a family business. The crowd was massive probably because it was the first day of Hari Raya which was of course a holiday to all.

Gary, tahan lapar smiling. And Grace who wanted crabs but they ran out of it that day. Sorry
The food turned out to be rather average only maybe because of the huge crowd. Believe it or not, a small restaurant like this was totally full house.

This is the 3-flavoured grilled fish served with lady’s finger and fish balls stuffed with minced pork.

One of their famous dishes, deep fried tofu with cucumber.

Then, there was also the grilled sotong with sambal.

Lastly, a plateful of bean sprout to go along with the grilled selection of seafood.

After dinner, we hung out at the resorts nearby my house and walked around the water chalets enjoying the breeze from the ocean. Gary dropped me back home after that and headed off to Cyber.
It was great hanging out with you guys, come again next time and I’ll bring you guys for water sports and more seafood;) Crabs guaranteed this time.. hehe
